It’s hard to find the perfect medley of praise to give Schoenberg Family Law. Debra and her hand-picked troop of aces are a well-oiled machine of positive outcomes and balance. I have spent the most time with Debra and her paralegal, Erin (who is basically as dedicated as they come and, thus, gets what the firm needs). As the fearless leader, Debra is caring, yet resolute with a humble brilliance that directs her clients to where they need to be (even a know-it-all like me).

I am admittedly a difficult client who needs to be reigned in for the good of my case. Sure, it was at times hard to hear bad news, as these are emotional matters, but I never once questioned if Debra had my best interests at heart. When I engaged her, my interests became synonymous with her own.

I can also say this is not the case with other family lawyers in San Francisco (having switched counsel long after I should have, due to the lack of these qualities in others). Debra picked up my case in the final hour and got up to speed at a rate that astounded me. Not having to start from scratch saved me large amounts of money. Added to that, was her ability to understand what the case needed, and quickly understand my priorities.

I once called Debra a “superhero”, to which she responded, “Should I don a cape?” Her humor put me at ease. So, while the jury is still out on whether a cape would suit Debra, you would be well-advised to meet with her about your family matters. She is ‘in it to win it’, and that’s what she does… with grace, ethics, and genuine empathy for her clients. People like her are in such short supply.
